July 18th, 2021 Bitcoin Difficulty has changed (-4.81%)

According to btc.com/stats/diff at 691,488 block,

2021-07-18 02:32:17 UTC

Bitcoin network difficulty has changed from:

14,363,025,673,659 with average hashrate 102.78 EH/s

to

13,672,594,272,814 with average hashrate 97.87 EH/s

bitcoin difficulty changing

This means that each TH/s now mines less bitcoin per day than before in PPS mining. In average +4.81%.

It is very important to understand that this Network Difficulty is the lowest for the entire current year. Below, the Difficulty was recorded only in December, 2019.

This decrease in Network Difficulty is due to events in China and the massive shutdown of mining farms. We must assume that in the near future, the work of miners will be restored and we will expect large increases in the Difficulty of the network several times in a row.

Example:

17 July, 2021 BTC Revenue: (before retarget)
0.00000891(0% Pool Fee)
PPS mining earning:0.00000875
Transaction reward:0.00000016 (the same)

19 July, 2021 BTC Revenue: (after retarget)
0.00000933 (0% Pool Fee)
PPS mining earning: 0.00000917 (+4.81%)
Transaction reward: 0.00000016 (the same)
Since the current average hash rate is around the average of 97.87 EH/s, I expect the difficulty of the network to increase rather than decrease in the next period.

The next difficulty change will take place between August 1st and 2nd. Stay tunned.
